This is amazing.

I've used one before, to play some of my classmate's games and such. It's quite sublime.

Calling it now: adoption for it will be very slow at first upon official release, until people start making a whole mess of porn for it.

Two of my friends caught pink eye from one at Eurogamer. Since then I refuse to be within 6 feet of one.

So, inside the 2nd gen (current afaik) dev kit is a real entire front half of a Galaxy Note 3 (the screen, digitizer and front glass).

Rumor is that Samsung has sensors going in the Note 4 so that you can just slap the phone into an Occulus-like head mount and it will do the game and display in one go! (also make a really awesome phone/2 for 1).

But yeah, I have a Note 2 with a Google cardboard I made and it is pretty slick, sold me on VR, then I saw they had the Note 3 display in the occulus, it just made sense (I've been sold on 3D for YEARS, probably going back to that plastic disc viewer thing everyone had to own in the 80's)

The thing I want to see is a Virtual computing desk with multi-monitors and the whole nine yards. The Note 4 should be even better, I think it has Quad HD display. Basically turn your head to see many virtual monitors quickly, have some of them link back to a server or your home PC so you can get actual work done while you are out. Visit a virtual movie theater to watch movies. I dig the whole thing. as soon as they can build them into a pair of glasses with on-demand dimming (think embedded semi-transparent OLED, with an LCD dimming layer on the outside) I want them. I could take a walk and keep reading a book for example.
